GOOGLE ART

2012

Piet Van has coined this series as 'Google Art,' a remarkable collection that originated from his exploration of an obscure set of black and white photographs capturing J.F.K. in Paris in 1963. Inspired by these unseen images, he meticulously handpicked 100 photos, selecting the most captivating details to serve as his artistic muse. Beginning with the delicate feet of a ballerina, his creative journey gradually evolved, incorporating the use of gold leaf as a transformative element, replacing and enhancing key components within the original photographs. This fusion of artistic vision and meticulous craftsmanship breathes new life into the captured moments, resulting in a truly mesmerizing body of work.
